Mission Statement

The Mission of Truth Frees Us Truth Frees Us is an independent, evangelical faith mission. Our purpose is to serve our Lord Jesus Christ as He directs us. Our goals are defined as the following:

1. To establish mentoring relationships between mature Christians and prison inmates who have given their lives to the Lord.

2. To create a portal between Christians outside prison and those inside, so that each can better understand and have meaningful fellowship with the other, encouraging and building each other up as the Bible commands.

3. To contribute to a better understanding of a Biblical approach to restorative justice, Christian fellowship, and redemption.

We do not solicit any financial support for this organization, as it is an all-volunteer, privately financed organization. However we will direct you to other organizations and areas of need. If you would remember us in your prayers, however, it would be immensely appreciated.

Our prison system in the U.S. is NOT designed to restore. It is designed to punish and to quarantine prisoners from law-abiding people. The reason 75 percent of prisoners return to prison is that rather than changing them for the good, it is a "crime college" where first time prisoners are exposed to the worst hardened criminals and a culture of violence. There are good Christian programs for prisons, but they lack the workers necessary to mentor new Christians in prison. One purpose of this site will be to facilitate communication and communion between Christians on opposite sides of the prison walls.

Adrian is our "man on the inside." Our task is help Adrian serve the Lord in prison. We will do that by:

  • Praying for him and the other Christians in prison
  • Raising money for Bible training
  • Contributing for the needs of our brothers in prison, for Bibles, and other Christian materials.
  • Contributing books for the chapel library
  • Enlisting pen-pals and mentors for the Christian men on the yard where Adrian works as pastor.

As other opportunities come up to serve our Lord, we will share them here.
